What His Present Tense Looks Like?

For all of us, who’ve come to understand that there is a presences that is beyond ourselves, we’ve understood that there is something significant when He’s close. Oh I can imagine many of you saying that we’re full of radical emotionalism, but can I say, when you ginōskō something, there’s no denying it. There’s no turning back.

Granted, we have times of derivation, but once we’ve tasted it, we know what it tastes like. So when God’s presence is near, how does it affect you? Do you speak, or think differently? Do you act differently? Or do you just have a subtle peace and confidence that you’re in your Dad’s hand, and everything will be okay?

For me, there actually is something tangible, or palpable, or real, in moments like that. And not that I live only for times like that, but man those times sure make all the difference. Do you understand?

When God’s presence is evident… no one remains the same. For we either move toward Him, or away from Him. And that’s how it’s supposed to be. Clearly He pushes us into a decision. Will we acknowledge all that we are (good and bad), then acknowledge Him (all good) and realize our abject deficiency to measure up to His standard or image. I believe that’s His intent; a decision that calls for us to accept His presence and what it will do to change us… or not.

As for me; I long for His presence… and I long to let Him do what He desires in my life.

And you?
