I Don’t Like Being Under The Gun

Albeit, I’ve never had the muzzle of a gun aimed at me in a time of decision; I have had life pressing in on me seemingly at all the wrong times; so how about you? Do you ever feel like you’re under the gun?

Ever feel pressure that’s not of your own design? I know I have, and I don’t like it. Call me a wuss but I don’t like pressure that I’m not in control of. And that’s likely most of my life.

So what do you do when you’re under the gun, so to speak? What do you do when life’s pressures mount to the degree that you feel the cold steal of its muzzle against your temple? I’m just wondering.

When it comes to living life under pressure; things are relative. Relative according to our abilities and our place in life; nonetheless pressure is an uncomfortable thing.

I really am curious how you deal with pressure, that’s not from your own folly, but that’s from the auspicious dealings with daily living? Please let me know. It would mean a lot to me if you would respond.

As for the cat that was killed because of her curiosity, I’m not too worried. Let me know what you think.

What His Present Tense Looks Like?

For all of us, who’ve come to understand that there is a presences that is beyond ourselves, we’ve understood that there is something significant when He’s close. Oh I can imagine many of you saying that we’re full of radical emotionalism, but can I say, when you ginōskō something, there’s no denying it. There’s no turning back.

Granted, we have times of derivation, but once we’ve tasted it, we know what it tastes like. So when God’s presence is near, how does it affect you? Do you speak, or think differently? Do you act differently? Or do you just have a subtle peace and confidence that you’re in your Dad’s hand, and everything will be okay?

For me, there actually is something tangible, or palpable, or real, in moments like that. And not that I live only for times like that, but man those times sure make all the difference. Do you understand?

When God’s presence is evident… no one remains the same. For we either move toward Him, or away from Him. And that’s how it’s supposed to be. Clearly He pushes us into a decision. Will we acknowledge all that we are (good and bad), then acknowledge Him (all good) and realize our abject deficiency to measure up to His standard or image. I believe that’s His intent; a decision that calls for us to accept His presence and what it will do to change us… or not.

As for me; I long for His presence… and I long to let Him do what He desires in my life.

And you?
